I think expecting the worst can do some long-term, deep-rooted problems within yourself. There's just too much negativity and pessimism involved. I enjoy expecting the best in all situations, but when (usually) it doesn't go in the way I'd imagined, I'm still okay with it. Don't allow yourself to be crushed and devastated. Things don't always go our way, but there's no harm in expecting that it would.
And still, when I say 'settle for less', don't live by this. Never cease to fight for what you want, what you deserve, and what you think you deserve. If your fight doesn't give you 100% positive results, that's alright.
